Should we have political restrictions in the game? i.e. if your airline is based out of country A you can only fly routes that begin or end in country A. (Unless an open skies agreement exists, like the EU).

I would guess no, but wanted to check.

Can we instead just have political restrictions like country to country bans? Based in USA can't fly to North Korea like?

This is a mine field you do not want to lay down.

I agree lol. Not having any restrictions would promote more creativity with the way that airlines are run I think.

In my opinion it's all or nothing, we either fully implement political restrictions or none at all.

I say yes for the following reason: Given that our route demand is based on semi-realistic data and therefore there is a limit to the number of passengers (unlike in CA where it was based off RNG) allowing people to fly anywhere/everywhere severely disadvantages potential new players who will be hard-pressed to find a viable route not already dominated by existing/veteran players.

As a side note, in sticking with realism I support there being no restriction on freighter flights.

To address the creativity thing, I agree and accept it limits the possibilities but allows the game to be more hospitable to a larger number of players versus a smaller number of entrenched players with an unmatchable size/scale advantage. With political restrictions it at least increases the odds there are viable routes somewhere.

After the game starts, would the pax/cargo stats update according to game or real world?

I thought it would remain mostly RW stats but you might get a boost at hubs/focus cities.

Once the game starts won't if we calculate in game stats be comparatively more than RW? Specially for the smaller airports. If people continuously fly out of it and expand, the pad stats go up. But if we update it with RW ut would be less. Like in CA, Lebanon had 25times more traffic than RW, and flying there was more profitable too.

I have to agree with USA, I think these are needed as the data we are using is real world, and therefore would best represent the real world, disadvantaging airlines created in places with lots of restrictions if done existed.

What about 7th freedom flights? Or BA-style London-Singapore-Sydney type flights, with stopovers where even the most long-range plane you have can't make it?
