Imo, i'd rather play a close game and lose at the last quarter than to lose straight out in blow-out fashion. At least make it a game. You're there for a reason, play like it actually means something...

RE: Last Post Wins - Carde - 02-08-2017

If you don't play to win, you are not playing the game.

RE: Last Post Wins - asianmattdog - 02-08-2017

Exactly. That's why I'd rather have both sides playing to win, than one side just doing so.

But you could argue that in a game like this past Super Bowl, a team may not play to win for the full game. The Falcons were playing not to lose in the second half and that didn't turn out so well.

I would not say no to one, but I would sell it and buy something else (R33 or 34 GTR)

Only 7 more years until the R34 is allowed to be imported into the USA! (stupid import laws). Was always one of my favorite cars on the gran turismo game for PS2.

I probably wouldn't buy one either, no idea what he spent on it but I'm guessing $60-$70k. That kind of money can buy you a lot of car.

RE: Last Post Wins - asianmattdog - 02-09-2017

Okay, topic change now: If you could buy any car under the following restrictions, what would you get? (under $25k, under $50k, under $100k, and w/o money limits)

Me:
<$25k = 2011 Ford Mustang GT
<$50k = 2017 Dodge Charger R/T
<$100k = 2017 Tesla S
$∞ = McClaren P1

Personally I wouldn't buy any. As someone learning to drive (test is in a month) I still think it is too difficult and too much effort for a form of transportation. Even if I could drive somewhere (and I do have a provisional licence) then I find that it is easily worth paying for public transit to have someone else worry about not crashing and letting me do anything while travelling.
