But...'flying' days/hours are equal to 'actual' days hours...the game is in real time...

Maybe I haven't made myself clear, by flying hours I mean the time the virtual aircraft is virtually airborne, so if you launch a 1 hour flight and then don't log in for 24 hours 1 flying hour has happened but 24 actual hours have happened.

Oh I see what you're asking. It's flying/Operating hours. So once your aircraft accumulates, say 400-600 hours of flight time it would need to go in for an A check.

But if it's not flying it won't be accumulating hours.

Ok, thanks.

It also would bump the purchase price of used aircraft a fair bit if we cannot just change the layout of them for no costs. Changing the layout for free with a new plane makes sense you order it in a certain config, but with a used plane you get what you get and anything else you would need to handle and hence pay for.
 I like this.

Is it possible to re-engine an aircraft to reduce fuel consumption?

RE: Maintenance - Unknown98 - 04-14-2017

It would be possible but we'd have to compile a list of engine statistics as well as possible combinations of engines for each plane. A lot of work.
