RE: Scheduled Flights - USA - 10-21-2017 Are the flights that are set-up and activated in the "Route Management" tab set to go automatically? I thought that's how it worked but from the looks of it, all of my planes but 1 flew only the first leg of their flight. The plane that was the exception got stuck after its second flight. RE: Scheduled Flights - Unknown98 - 10-21-2017 They are automatic. The reason it's not working is because the game only goes through the routes to check for flights that need to be scheduled every 10 minutes (so 06:00, 06:10, 06:20... etc). If you have more than 1 route assigned to a single aircraft, you have to make sure the 2nd route departs after that 10 minute mark. For example: Route 1: IND-JFK-ATL, ends at 13:51 Route 2: ATL-JFK-IND [Must depart at or after 14:00] The other thing you can do is simply make one long route, IND-JFK-ATL-JFK-IND and that will have no issues. Probably need to make that more clear, either in the game guide or elsewhere. RE: Scheduled Flights - USA - 10-22-2017 Ahhh...that'll do it. Is that a permanent thing or just for the time being? RE: Scheduled Flights - Unknown98 - 10-22-2017 It's permanent since there is no other way to schedule flights automatically other than run a script every X minutes. Basically the system goes through every route in the game (thousands) and checks to see if they can be scheduled or not.... every ten minutes. That's a lot of resources being used. Now perhaps I could do something where when you activate a route it instantly schedules every flight on that route without you having to wait for the 10 minute mark. But if you're not logged in and actively using the website it would still have to rely on the script to do it. RE: Scheduled Flights - USA - 10-22-2017 So here's the next question: If my aircraft were delivered to airport ABC but the multi-stop route starts from airport XYZ (but does go through ABC) will the aircraft "catch" the route when the time passes for that portion of the route or do I have to reposition the plane to wherever the multi-stop route starts? RE: Scheduled Flights - ALT2870 - 10-22-2017 In my experience it needs to be at the airport the route starts at. Otherwise the route doesn't schedule period. RE: Scheduled Flights - Unknown98 - 10-22-2017 It won't catch it mid-route. I attempted to program that but it's just way too difficult to get everything lined up accurately. RE: Scheduled Flights - USA - 10-23-2017 Ok. So I’ve got an aircraft out of position then but even when I deactivate it’s scheduled flights it still says the aircraft is on the ground preparing for departure and I can’t move it RE: Scheduled Flights - Unknown98 - 10-23-2017 On the routes page click the red X icon to cancel the flights and then you should be able to move it. |
