RE: Great British Air - Zortan - 06-05-2018

Nice! OASIS plans to order the MAX 9 as soon as we get the credit rating Smile - in addition to further MAX 8s. I see we'll have a matching fleet (at least on short/medium haul)! Wink

Update to Perth flight
Effective June 9, 2018, all London-Perth-London flights will be operated by an A350-900 instead of the Airbus A380-800. Additionally, the route will be upgraded to 7 weekly flights, instead of the current 3 weekly flights. We are also planning on upgrading the flights to 9 weekly if needs be.
With this change, we will be able to provide greater connectivity with our passengers to Australia, especially to Sydney with our codeshare partner, Oasis Air.

RE: Great British Air - Zortan - 06-07-2018

OASIS is proud to codeshare with GBA on this route, and the airline is ecstatic about the aircraft swap which will lead to a daily flight! Codesharing between Perth and Brisbane on OASIS is available now on the GBA route, as the route has been specially timed for a two-hour connection between the LGW-PER flight and the PER-BNE flight. The morning flight BNE-PER has also been timed for the ability of a 2-hour connection before the onward flight to Europe, adding further flexibility to this very special codeshare. The Sydney to Perth flight, operated by the Boeing 737 MAX 8, continues to offer convenient connections with the London flight.

6/9/18 - Expansion to London Heathrow Airport

Due to capacity at the London-Gatwick airport, Great British Air will be adding some flights to London-Heathrow, as our plans to expand rapidly is hindered until our new, state of the art terminal is built at the London-Gatwick airport. London-Heathrow flights will be mostly O&D traffic, therefore, little to none connecting passengers. Great British Air will also be partnering with National Express to provide hourly bus shuttle services to/from Heathrow and Gatwick, in case any passenger choose to connect.

Our first London Heathrow flight will be to John F. Kennedy Airport (New York). We also plan on operating direct flights to:
- Los Angeles
- Miami
- San Francisco

6/14/18 - Retirement of Airbus A380-800 aircraft

Effective June 18, 2018, Great British Air will start the retirement process forthe Airbus A380-800. With an average age of 2.28, these 5 aircraft will return back to the lessor, which will be replaced by the newer, more fuel-efficient Boeing 747-8i. Customers can still expect most of the premium service offered on our Airbus A380-800 to be carried over on our Boeing 747-8i.

The first Airbus A380-800 to be retired will be G-UKAC, which will be replaced by G-LGWA (747-8i), which will operate on the London - Chicago route.

6/15/18 - Opening of our Manchester Operations!

After months of negotiations with Manchester Airports Group, Great British Air is pleased to announce that as of June 15, 2018, we will be officially operating flights out of Manchester as we have secured a total of 15 leased gate, and when used up will have the opportunity to negotiate for more. Currently, we only have one destination in Manchester: Alicante. We expect (with more aircraft) to rapidly expand at the Manchester airport. Long Haul operations are not yet expected to start off immediately; most of our operations at Manchester will be short-haul currently.

We're pleased to serve the busiest airport outside of London, and we are committed to forever connecting UK and the World!
