Vistara is the only safe option to fly in India. I haven't flown with them yet but from what my friends tell me it is by far the best! Vistara and Jet Airways are the only Indian airlines I haven't flown with. I would be flying Jet Airways on 19th and 22nd July next week. Go Air, IndiGo, Air India were horrible experiences for me too! SpiceJet was okay-okay. At least the on ground staff and cabin crew of SpiceJet was nice. I hope I fly with Vistara soon.

The only Indian airline I've flown with is Jet Airways, but our flight got cancelled so instead of flying HYD-BOM I had to go HYD-BLR-BOM.

With the backing of Singapore Airlines, Vistara has great potential. I haven't flown with them but their service looks promising.

I just found this topic today; I was planning to start this long time ago but Zortan you beat me to it! Big Grin. Seems like people do like Airbus in here.

Singapore Airlines really likes to back this airline and that airline. I wonder if they do actually gain from it? I remember reading once of how they saved Air New Zealand from financial destruction...

Vistara is making loses. Not huge ones. But they haven't recorded a profit yet. But given that their parent companies are the TATA Group (51%) and SIA (49%), both of which make huge net profits, they won't mind losing some money initially to earn more later on. With the Indian Rupee going down again against the US Dollar and the fuel prices rising (and not to forget the increasing competition and decreasing ticket prices), every airline in India is losing money.

I have read on the internet that Vistara isn't even expecting a net profit till 2020-21. Every financial year they estimate their "budgeted loss".

Boeing, for me because of their cool 757 and 747. Besides I'm a McDonnell Douglas fan.
