One major advantage I think this game has is the timing of flights and the ability to have routes that run via multiple stops.
In essence, in this game it feels much more like you route the actual aircraft, not just some hypothetical spare capacity aircraft. And you have to time around gates being free etc. It's more realistic because of that IMO.
I agree with that. Although, I would say that Airline Empires, the game, is not really that bad or dying - the forum is.
True. The game itself is OK. I played it for a while and enjoyed it, but there were a few issues (like spamlines and the fact that you couldn't fly multiple stop routes) that just didn't do it for me.
Anyway - I'm looking forward to what this game has to offer

Speaking of spamliners, there is still a way to make them happen. I mean, you can't get rid of them.

we're taking measures to prevent them (or at least make it more difficult) but it all takes time. Things still need balancing, also the game is being built around features that don't yet exist so some things can appear to be skewed out of proportion simply because counter-measures haven't been built yet.
