RE: A New Trans American - palmertae - 08-03-2019 American One Airways and transAmerican (operated by Palmer Holdings, Inc.) has announced that the board of directors has unanimously approved a merger agreement where American One Airways will acquire transAmerican for $65 per share. American One will be inheriting all of transAmerican's debts and aircraft operating leases. This merger agreement will position American One as the largest airline operating within the south. The merger will form the American One Group. This merger will allow American One to expand into the world's busiest airport: Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. American One intends to keep Atlanta as the company's hub, along with the company's existing office in Austin, Texas. "We will be able to provide cheaper fares and better customer service to customers, provide better profit margins for our investors and provide a life long workforce for our valued employees.", said Andrew Dark, CEO of American One Airways. "We will be the largest airline in the south with Austin, Houston, Atlanta, and Fort Lauderdale. We are also gaining a boost to expand on the east coast, we will be retaining New York, from transAmerican, and Newark, from American One, as hubs for now. We will decide later on which one we want to keep, remove or either downsize. It will be a long decision that we are still deciding on and will make a decision as soon as possible as we are trying to avoid losses with overlaps with the delicate east coast." "This marks that transAmerican will forever live on. We did not want to close the airline, we would rather merge the airline with another great airline. The merger agreement requires American One to retain some of transAmericans identity within the merger which avoids a full takeover. The transAmerican spirit will live on!" said Drake Palmer, President of transAmerican. We anticipate to obtain regulatory approval in Q4 2019. Operating Airline ![]() The new company, American One Group, will be based in Atlanta, Georgia where transAmerican headquarters are currently located. All American One employees in Austin, Texas will have the option to relocate, as we will be downsizing the headquarters in Austin to a regional support office. The organization will remain under the leadership of Andrew Dark, and Drake Palmer will be joining as the chairman of the group. The new airline is expected to: - Be the industry leader of Caribbean and Latin American flights from the eastern and southern regions of the U.S. - Expand internationally - Provide the most service in the Southern region of the U.S. - Maintain all current hubs of American One and transAmerican |
