4 weeks vacation sounds lovely!

I think the company I work for now starts you off at 2-3 weeks once you go full time/salary. Hopefully I can get to that point sometime soon.

Well done, mate.

Also, on the topic of paid vacation, by federal law in my country, you're entitled to have at least 24 business days for the year, based on a working week from Monday to Saturday. So, I'm kinda surprised when I'm reading that some US companies only give 5 to 10 days of paid vacation. Isn't that against human rights or something? Oh, wait, I almost forgot: Capitalism doesn't care about people. Tongue

Yeah. If there was one thing I wish a president would do is bring the US up to par with other countries when it comes to paid leave and benefits. But it won't happen. *Some* newer companies, mainly tech startups are beginning to offer really good benefits. 4+ weeks of vacation to start off and such.

Just an example some of the people I worked with at my last company were working 50-60 hours per week. But because they were salary, they didn't get paid any extra for it. They were paid the same whether they worked 40 hours or 60 hours.

Oh well. Could be worse I guess Tongue

I always liked computers and stuff but never enough to pursue a career in it. Kind of like programming I guess. I only like it when I'm programming something I'm interested in. If I went out and worked for some company and they made me code boring websites for clients I'd be miserable lol.
