Discord? - Carde - 10-07-2016

Not sure how many use it, but I love Discord and I think it could be usefull for unknown to start a server for the game for the chat needs and such Smile

If Unknown doesn't want to set it up I can easily.

Discord. Love it. Might get huge if the game gets to be massive though... Plus... Spammers... Ughh... D:

RE: Discord? - Carde - 10-08-2016

Bots can deal with spammers as could the mods.

Also we simply can use timed links to send to members directly that would prevent a lot of the bots from joining.

Anyhow give the word and I set it up.

Never heard of it. I guess I don't mind if we have it, but what exactly is it?

It is a chat/voip program which is gaining grounds rapidly. You can see it as a mix between skype and something like team speak. It allows you to create servers for free and within that channels appoint mods, use bots etc. It gives everyone a place to chat and hang out and you can set up different channels for questions etc etc.

I am really loving it and wish people would drop skype and just switch over cause it is so much better Smile Currently I use it for some groups I am in (Star Citizen volunteers for example) and it works great.

Never had a problem with the old chat lol

RE: Discord? - Unknown98 - 10-09-2016

Same lol... so if this was set up could it be embedded into a page on the website or is it a separate application/webpage? I see that I can download the software to use it or use it over the internet. Just curious if they have a developers API or something that lets you put the chat application on your own website.

RE: Discord? - Carde - 10-09-2016

I don't know about others, but I prefer a chat not purely reachable by being on the site Smile It is why I like Discord because it puts all the chats I need into 1 service so I can hob between them while doing my stuff.

Anyhow not sure about APIs and such one would have to look into that.

May as well give it a try, what's the worst that can happen.

I think this is the link to the Airline Enterprise server I made:

Keep in mind I have no idea what I'm doing here lol
