In case some haven't heard, as of about 3am EST it has been widely reported that Donald J. Trump will be the 45th President of the United States.

Looking forward to all the cheap steam games now the AUD will be worth something against the USD!

Seriously though, this is going to be a very interesting 4 years. Hopefully hes term as president goes better than his campaign.

I feel very sorry for the USA right now, you had to choose between two evils and the worst won.

All I can hope is that congress etc etc will manage to keep things sane and sensible.

Well, both the Senate and the House of Representatives are also now a republican majority. There is, however, hope. Although I am very not pro-Trump, I have to say his victory speech surprised me - it lack all of the insanity that filled his campaign. Yes, I agree, it will be a very interesting four years, but his Presidency will likely not reach the crazy-levels of the campaign. Although, as the denial and anger stages have already passed for me, this might well be the bargaining stage of grief...

Regardless of your political beliefs, etc. Trump somehow dialed up a miracle and did what he said he'd do: win, and win a lot. The real test has just begun and I hope people give him fair shake and a fair chance.

Same problem as always a lot of people just not voting, while those rallied by campaigns like this will vote.

As for my political believes I have not seen a single politician that matches it, I am in a lot of camps on some points while totally opposing others within the same camp. Last elections for that reason my vote was blank and by the looks of things it will remain much the same.

Anyhow as for the US time will tell what will happen. However Trump cannot simply make undone what he has done and that will make things tricky.

RE: US Presidential Election - POTKC - 11-09-2016

I agree. Even if he suddenly changes after being elected and acts as any other politician, he will always be thought of as the guy who won by being a raving madman and insane bigot, making people judge every one of his decisions even more than they already would

It will be interesting for sure. I have to say watching the election results, and watching the media's reactions when Trump was actually winning was priceless. I think everyone wrote it off as a landslide victory for Clinton, including myself to a certain extent. Then when it didn't happen that way, nobody quite knew how to react.

I was impressed by his victory speech. I was afraid he may go up there and say something ridiculous again, but he was very respectful. I hope he continues to conduct himself in that way. There's still a lot of people that don't like him and he's going to have to work to try and unite everybody.

If he doesn't have a point than this world is done for.

Well worth the watch as the idea goes way beyond just this election.
