Seasonal demand:
Increase in demand factor in the summer for hot destinations e.g Miami, Ibiza etc
Increase in demand factor in the winter for cold destinations e.g Geneva (Alps) etc.

The problem with that is the inconsistency and contextual factors at play. Not many people choose to visit Moscow in winter (because it's bloody freezing), nor do many people visit Dar es Salaam in the summer (beyond the weather there are other considerations).
There is also high winter-demand in Europe for exotic and warm destinations as much as for cold winter ones (I'm thinking of the Maghreb especially).
Cherry on the cake, you would have to invert the whole system for South America, Africa and Oceania...

Yeah, I agree with Frenchie. I like the concept, but it seems like it would be a pain to implement it especially when you factor in political factors i.e. US sanctions against Venezuela right now

I like the idea of seasonal demand. But as others pointed out there's several layers to it and it would be a complicated implementation with lots of checks and cross checks. It's almost as if you'd have to go through each airport individually and define the seasons. There's also the fact that if we're going for accuracy you can't just add demand during the busy seasons, you'd also have to subtract demand during the slow seasons. Technically the system already accounts for seasonal demand, it's just not distributed seasonally, it's distributed evenly throughout the entire year.
If we can think of a relatively easy way to do it I'm open to the idea, but I just don't know what that would be.
