B767-400ER - gaff85 - 12-10-2017

Guys, having issues with the B767-400ER out of EIDW

Not full passengers on the aircraft, even though day in day out DL fly it full loads to JfK in real life.

RE: B767-400ER - Stebah - 12-10-2017

You should probably read something about the passenger demand formula of the game.

RE: B767-400ER - ALT2870 - 12-10-2017

The 767-400ER needs 10,800 feet of runway when maxed out as well. Sorry, issues like this usually aren't a bug.

Runway length at DUB is restrictive for the -400ER. You'd have better results with the -300ER or -200/-200ER.

As for how DL operates that route with the -400ER... I'm not sure. Might have a different engine configuration to accommodate for the short runway.

Or simply because they never depart DUB at MTOW. For such a short flight they probably wouldn't tank more then 55,000 liters of kerosine on the worst day in the winter period. They should be far below MTOW.

RE: B767-400ER - Unknown98 - 12-12-2017

Well the game wouldn't have you depart at MTOW either, it calculates the weight of the fuel needed + 30 mins of reserve, then adds weight for flight crew, equipment, supplies, passengers etc.

the formula is a proportion:

Runway required = _______X______
       MTOW            Calculated weight

With X being the required runway based on the actual weight of the aircraft.

In real life it is probably not as simple as a proportion, so that may be where the discrepancy is

Anyone have tried to get around this "issue" by flying the 767 in a "business jet" like configuration? Load it with expensive seats (more cash, less passengers = less weight) and see what happens, that is, if you have spare cash to experiment. I don't Tongue

Well I could try to see if it works out as I have over a Billion of cash Tongue

And thanks Unk that formula does seem good enough, although in real life wind, temp and some other conditions also affect the take off runway needed. Although that would be a little bit to complex to add in the game.
