Reputation and demand Vs age of an aircraft - Dokhu - 01-17-2018

Hi.

The age of an aircraft should reduce the reputation of an airline and decrease the number of passengers who wish to use it (Decrease of the demand).

Thanks.

But IRL not many people know or care about the aircraft they are flying on, so it doesn't make a difference to them.

What is the point of having a B-747-8 if I can have 26 x DC-8-73 for the same amount of money and producing much more money for the airline?

Old planes are less profitable and that's why they are sold but this is not the case in the game.

One way to avoid the abuse or exploitation of buying old planes could be a large interval between each sale.

Older planes have a higher fuel consumption and and more maintenance costs. I have bought old planes from the used market and every route was unprofitable because the fuel cost too much. The disadvantage is monetary rather than reputation which IMO makes more sense.
