Global Airways - Zortan - 02-10-2018 Global Airways has recently started operations in HNL, however flights are already branching off around the world, with many different hubs, such as New York-JFK, London-Heathrow, Dubai-International, and more! Global Airways is aiming to capture the global trunk-route market. Many trunk routes around the world are not being served in AEn, such as GRU-GIG, which has only 2 weekly flights. In real life, this route has many weekly flights, and Global Airways believes in it's philosophy that people should be able to fly from any airport to any airport. A livery and logo are being released for the airline in the near future. Meanwhile - here is a list of the current fleet of Global Airways: Concorde - 1: to be retired in the near future - replacement: Il-96 Boeing 707-320 - 1 Boeing 737-400 - 1 Boeing 737-500 - 2 Boeing 747-200 - 5 Boeing 747-300 - 1 Boeing 747-8 - 1 Boeing 757-200 - 2 Boeing 757-300 - 2 Boeing 777-200 - 1 Boeing 777-200ER - 1 Boeing 777-200LR - 5 Bombardier CRJ200 - 1 - to be retired - replacement: Q400 Bombardier Q300 - 1 - to be retired - replacement: Q400 Bombardier Q400 - 1 Douglas DC-8-73 - 4 Fokker 100 - 1 - to be retired - replacement to be ordered Ilyushin Il-62 - 1 Ilyushin Il-86 - 2 Ilyushin Il-96-400 - 2 Lockheed L-1011-500 - 1 Vickers Super VC-10 - 1 - to be retired - replacement - Il-62 The Airline is also contemplating purchasing the following aircraft: Boeing 707-320 - further examples for transcontinental services Boeing 737 Classic Series Aircraft - for regional services, with a focus on the middle east and Asia Boeing 727 Aircraft - Regional routes within north America and Europe Boeing 747-200 aircraft - long-haul Boeing 757-200 - to start point-to-point long-haul flights Boeing 767 - should lower cost examples arise in the Used Market Bombardier Q400 - to replace the Q300 and add more short-haul flights Embraer E-jet series aircraft - should lower-cost examples arise, these aircraft will supplement the Q400 fleet and possibly replace the Fokker 100 Douglas DC-9 series - for regional flights and possible Fokker replacement Ilyushin Il-96 - to replace Concorde on JFK-LHR as well as add many new long-haul destination Ilyushin Il-62 - for medium-long haul flights Ilyushin Il-86 - for medium-haul flights Douglas DC-8-73 - for transcontinental and transoceanic flights such as JFK-CDG, which is expected to be served by 4-5 of the type in the near future McDonnell-Douglas MD-11 - for long-haul flights Boeing 777 - if lower-priced variants appear in the used market, these will be used on long-haul and ultra-long-haul flights Boeing 747-100 - medium haul high-demand flights Boeing 747-300 - long-haul The livery for the airline is expected to be released with the next 2-3 weeks, however, no specific release date has been set. The airline currently operates many routes, and a routemap is expected to be released in the future.
