No. There's data validation but nothing to compare what people enter to what the actual stats are. If I had that info, there'd be no need for the manual input form in the first place! 
So far nobody has intentionally abused it, so it's fine. But it will probably be deactivated after the reset similar to how public aircraft additions were recently taken offline.
