If I am not understanding it wrong, Industry Average is actually the average of the Hourly Pay given by each airline. And Happiness and Attrition Rate depend on it.

Hypothetical Situation: What if all the players decide to decrease their airline's Hourly Pay to ZERO? Then average industry will be ZERO too. Then airlines don't pay anything to their employees and save thousands of dollars every week.

Just wanted to know if this is possible in the game. Also can some please explain me Attrition Rate. What it is?

Well the minimum salary for employees is $7/hr so that can't happen. Ideally, the benefit of having happy employees would discourage any kind of collusion among airlines. Paying a slightly higher salary than the average and having some reserves is cheaper than training new employees all the time.

Getting enough of the players to agree to work with each other would be very difficult. Right now there's only 27 active airlines. Imagine if there were a few hundred. Something that I could do is set a "base" salary, similar to what I did for ticket prices. That way employees expect a certain salary regardless of what the average is. If it becomes an issue then I can do that.

Attrition rate is the percent of employees that leave your airline each week. Attrition is rounded. So if you have 20 CSA's, and your attrition rate is 4.25%, then (4.25% * 20) = 0.85. Because 0.85 is > 0.50, it is rounded up, and 1 CSA will quit your airline that week. Then you will need to hire 1 new CSA, and pay the training cost to train that employee. IIRC training cost for CSAs is $10,000. Each employee type has a different training cost. It's more expensive to train pilots for example than it is to train a ramp agent.
