Want to get a better idea as to how this impacts reputation only because reputation impacts demand as well. I agree that Allegiant/Spirit/RyanAir/etc. aren't viewed in the same light as Delta/British/etc. but I don't want to see an airline's go negative and keep falling as a result of following more of a ULCC path.

Reputation certainly won't go negative as a result of bag fees as long as they are reasonable fees. Especially if others are also charging fees. And I may still need to adjust the reputation affect if it's too strong. We'll see how it plays out.

Reputation effect is proportionate to how many passengers the fee affects (essentially which class(es) you have fees for). Having fees for economy will drop reputation gain by a bit, but having fees for business and first class won't drop it nearly as much because it affects less passengers. Unless, of course, your cabin layout and/or pricing dictates that you have more business/first class passengers than economy on board.

Another thing that I want to implement, that is not represented in route research, is that passengers will begin to carry less things with them if you start charging fees. So for example if you charge a checked bag fee, the higher the fee, the less passengers will actually have checked bags. Route research assumes all passengers have a carry-on and a checked bag.

Thank YOU. I saw the route research page the other day. Looks amazing

And the map is cool!

Would a map like the research page map be possible on the flight tracker page. Not actually tracking the flight as i know thats nlt possible, but in addition to the live tracking bar

Yeah it'd be possible. Might look into adding that.

On second thought. Should bag fees even affect reputation at all? Reputation is supposed to be a representation of passenger experience. How well did they enjoy the flight. How comfortable are the seats. What was the service like. What was the IFE like. Going by that definition bag fees should only affect demand and profits, not reputation. Whether you pay a bag fee doesn't affect your experience on the flight itself.

Because if you raise prices (which is essentially the same thing as having a bag fee), you don't gain less reputation on the flight. Reputation has no link to ticket price. So why should bag fees be any different?
