It was just a short trip from Amsterdam to Leiden, but that did not stop Alicia from enjoying it with classic rock blasting out of the stereo of her beloved R34 GTR. Next to her singing along as loudly as she was sat Juni and from the backseat came the actually far better tenor voice from David. Alicia meanwhile made the best of the limited opportunities Dutch roads provided as she tended to stay clear of the highways as the b roads tended to be less patrolled and the cameras where all well known. All in all it made it for a short, but fun trip to the Airbus HQ in Leiden, "Got to love all the companies having their HQ about next door." Alicia said as the song died out. "Indeed the Dutch tax climate works once again to our advantage." Juni said with a nod, before the next song started to pick up and the singing was taking over again. 

About 15 minutes later they did arrive at the Airbus HQ and all 3 had their business faces on, though Alicia did not exactly look business like in jeans and a bomber jacket. Juni and David on the other hand both wore high quality tailored suits, white for Juni and black for David. After a short wait they where ready to meet the persons they had been scheduled to meet to discus the future fleet of Flying Dutchman Airlines. The current A340 fleet was serving them well and none of the staff at FDA had any issues with picking up a few more at the right price, but if they really wanted to grow they would need some modern planes. For that reasons the 3 had decided to sit down with Airbus, Alicia for the strategic side of things, Juni to handle the legal matters and David to ensure they would get the best possible deal. 

Half a day later and clearly somewhat tired the trio appeared outside again, "I need a drink, lets get home and see whom else is going to join us." Alicia said stretching her arms, long business meetings where part of the job, but she found them tiresome especially when dealing with sluggish bureaucratic companies like Airbus. "I think with this order in we can safely afford to have a few of the companies tap." David said with a smile, he had been quite pleased with his work. "Holy shit, the great coin counter let's us have fun?" Juni remarked with a chuckle, "O please our darling ice queen that coming from you does not seem all that fitting." David said in rebuttal which made Alicia just flat out laugh, "Alright quit it you two." she managed to say between her laughter. "Get in the car, got to top her off and you know what before heading home let's drive to the beach at Katwijk I need some food and I know a place there that serves some of the best ribs you can find." with those words they got in the car and Alicia took off gently, after all it would have been poor form to leave in a burnout.

Flying Dutchman Airlines and Airbus SE are pleased to announce the order of 20 Airbus A350-900ULR planes on a capital lease basis. With 5 of the planes delivered shortly and the next 15 to be spread out over the 6.5 months. Flying Dutchman Airlines will be operating these state of the art and highly efficient jets on long haul and ultra long haul flights from their home base in Amsterdam. With these planes added tot heir fleet they can greatly expand their offerings and provide an even higher level of comfort to the passengers. 

Airbus is really pleased to have such a good customer in a brand new airline that is already showing itself to be a strong competitor in the business while also coming up with new ideas and bold plans. Flying Dutchman Airlines is pleased to announce a second Airbus A340-300 that has rolled out of the refitting shop. It will start to operate the Amsterdam (AMS) to Tokyo (HND) and Amsterdam (AMS) to Toronto (YYZ) routes from this very day. Until our third A340-300 is ready these routes will be operated on alternating days, once this plane is ready which will be shortly both these routes will be operated daily.

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the full closure of Flying Dutchman Airlines. A combination of factors including being forced out of Schiphol and new pricing limitations enforced has made it sadly impossible for us to continue operations. We are not declaring bankruptcy and will hence by EU regulations fully refund any out standing tickets already purchased. These refunds will be done automatically by simply returning the payment to your account or card used for the purchase, no further action is needed. We sincerely apologize to all those whom are affected by this.
