Aircraft range vs number of seats
#1
New player here - enjoying this game having moved over from another airline sim game that seems to have died...

However I have a question - is the range of an aircraft affected by the number of seats in the configuration? In other words, can a less-dense setup aircraft fly further than a dense setup one? Or does the game just treat all setups the same w.r.t how far you can fly?

For now the range is always what it says on the aircraft statistics.

However in the future aircraft range will change dynamically depending on the calculated weight of the aircraft.

Thanks.

The game was Airline Empires. Game is active but development seems not to have gone anywhere for years.

Me too. I sometimes check their forum out of boredom. Actually, I think many of us here came from there.

One major advantage I think this game has is the timing of flights and the ability to have routes that run via multiple stops.

In essence, in this game it feels much more like you route the actual aircraft, not just some hypothetical spare capacity aircraft. And you have to time around gates being free etc. It's more realistic because of that IMO.

I agree with that. Although, I would say that Airline Empires, the game, is not really that bad or dying - the forum is Tongue.

I hope not, the game's forum is not exactly nice.
