Heading to a meeting at mach 2
G-SHAY was barreling down the runway at Heathrow airport, the reintroduction of the Concorde into limited service had been a good drawn on plane spotters at the airport, but this particular one they didn't see flying often. On the outside it didn't seem any different from the other Concords flown by Shaylyn, but on the interior it was nothing like them. G-SHAY was in all essence the private jet of CEO owner Sigrún Athray. As ti climbed out it moved to it's old designated flight area to start it's climb and burn to mach 2.
Onboard was a small number of people including Sigrún who was in a conversation with Jaine no doubt sorting out the latest details of the upcoming meeting. On the other end of the section Lucas sat with Marcus as the two members of the security team travelling along. "Do you ever wonder how she manages to do all this stuff?" Marcus asked before taking a sip from his coke. "Jaine?" Lucas asked for clarification looking up from his laptop. "Yeah." was the simple reply. "Nope not a clue and I am glad I don't have her job." Lucas answered simply. "Yeah I feel you, I rather get shot at than dealing with all those phone calls mails and other forms of communication she handles." Marcus said with a grin before picking up his phone, they would be strapped in for a bit until the plane would level out.
"Ma'am we got confirmation that we are allowed to fly JFK to BFI super sonic as long as we follow a strict flight path that avoids the denser populations." Jaine said her eyes darting between Sigrún and her laptop. "Good I know it was a bit last minute with G-SLYN developing that engine issue and I really did not want to make an additional stop. Hope the Boeing people don't take offense, but I think they rather see this bird than us pulling up in an Airbus." Sigrún replied reading through some documents on a tablet which Jaine had handed to her before departure. "I am sure it will be fine it is just a business meeting after all, do you really think your choice of plane affects their desire to sell you any?" The question was genuinene for as good as Jaine was at her job aviation didn't exactly run through her veins. "They are mostly men Jaine and men tend to do silly things when some one steps on their small ego's." the remark let to a few chuckles before silence would resume with both of them reading through whatever documents needed their attention.
Lucas put his laptop aside a while later with the plane finally at a level, "Can I grab you anything Marcus?" he asked. "I am good." was the reply and so Lucas headed towards Jaine and Sigrún, "Ma'am, Jaine can I get anything for you?" he asked. Outside of them 4 and the generally more quiet Juni from legal and the flight crew no one else was onboard. Sigrún didn't really believe in the need for staff to grab some drinks and food on a plane. "Just set the cooker, I will grab some tea in a bit." Sigrún stated with a friendly nod, "If you could grab me a pepsi that would be lovely Lucas." Jaine said and Lucas simply nodded before heading to the galley.
A bit later he returned with a can of Pepsi for Jaine whom he knew never used a glass or straw, "Here you go." he said. "Thanks love." Jaine said taking it and Lucas headed down to his own seat with a bottle of water, he was not one to touch soda's or alcohol or even cafine. A trait that got him some teasing over the years, but he was fine with it all. With the bottle secure he found his headphones and plugged them into his laptop to enjoy a movie, it would just about end before they had to land for the fuel stop in New York.
