There is another airport in the game at exactly the same location with the same name but an IATA of ISL and 20 million annual pax. ISL is a real airport currently under construction, but IGA is not an airport in Instanbul, Turkey.

IGA is the IATA code for Inagua Airport, Matthew Town, Inagua, Bahamas. IGA is also the name of the group who are building and managing the new Istanbul Airport (ISL); this may have caused the mistake in the IATA code, but I don't understand why there is a an entire new airport there that apparently does not exist in the real world Big Grin.

In 2017 Istanbul Atatürk Airport (IST) handled 63,727,448 passengers; in game it says 60,119,215, so that may need an update. The current airport data at IGA says 90 million, which is somewhat obviously incorrect (such a perfect number Big Grin); the large number seems to actually be the combined number of pax handled at both Istanbul Atatürk Airport and Sabiha Gökçen Airport.

Somebody added it a few weeks ago, I remember a convo about it on the chat I believe. I will take a look, the IATA code is incorrect. But from what I understand the new airport (ISL) opened at the end of october and that is why it was added to the game.

Since it is a new airport pax numbers are not available so I think it was estimated based on planned capacity.

ISL is already open.

Actually I know that, but IGA is located in the game at the exact same place as ISL, so IGA should be incorrect. It is funny that the group managing ISL is called IGA Big Grin
Alright I updated everything charlie pointed out and renamed IGA to ISL

remind me to update ISL passenger numbers as operations move from IST to ISL next year

Also remember that when the move is completed ISL will become known as IST once again, and the old IST will be gone Sad
well now they're just needlessly complicating things.

Don't they think of games like this when they build new airports?! Tongue

Hello there. I just added General Santos airport (GES) in the Philippines but accidentally reset my page and the airport ended up being put in Afghanistan and under wrong timezone. Actual time zone is +8 and of course the correct country should be the Philippines.

Also, I noticed there are two ISL airports in game right now. Now I'm all for the new airport and can't wait till it opens up for major operations but there are currently two of them in game with 20 million pax each and both, ironically have the wrong coordinates. The correct coordinates should be "41.275278, 28.751944" and I feel like this airport should be locked or deleted or however until January 1st just for realism purposes.
I deleted the duplicate airport and fixed the coordinates. But ISL and IST are currently both open (ISL not at full capacity) so this is why both are in the game.

General Santos airport (GES) is still showing in Afghanistan.
