Q400 ferry flight
#1
How is it possible to get a Q400 purchased in Hawaii back to the mainland US?

You'd have to go down into australia and then up through asia, across europe, iceland, greenland, and then down into canada.

quite a journey

In the future (maaaaybe before reset, not sure) range will be dynamic depending on weight of the aircraft, so that would help in situations like these (no payload = more range for ferry flights)

Or you can go to Russia
Go to Austrailia, fly up to YKS, DYR AUK, FAI(ANC) and your good. You might be able to skip some of the airports because of the range. I remember doing this with 50 seaters. So it should work

Yeah do Australia and then up through russia and Alaska would be my vote. If that doesn't work, then you'd have to go through europe and everything lol

Is it possible to just click a button that says "ferry aircraft back to base/airport IATA" and let the system calculate the shortest route? Or would that be too demanding on the system? And maybe add a shipping service for really small aircraft? Because I can imagine that certain light prop aircraft may never leave the Hawaiian islands (unless we don't have such aircraft in the game).

It is better to hire a company that is responsible for taking the plane to your HQ. You just have to pay and wait for the plane to arrive in a couple of days.

That is very true. It may slightly reduce costs too, compared to flying the plane over by self? Wink

Yeah IRL people sometimes have to dismantle and ship aircraft if they really want them haha. Either that or strap on a bunch of extra fuel tanks

Aircraft shipping may be introduced at some point post-reset but it's not really a priority right now. You only really need it for the small planes anyway.

Yeah - makes sense. And the small planes are generally cheap enough to get new anyhow.
