And hopefully happy new year to less unexpected deaths too!

Just bought a 24" monitor to use in conjunction with my laptop. Oh man do I love it. It's like having a desktop without actually having a desktop lol. I'm gonna have to get used to the bigger size though. I had to increase chrome's zoom level to 125% because everything seemed so small!

I also see that in the game, the main menu for some reason has really fuzzy text when viewed from the monitor vs my laptop screen, so that's something to look at and try to fix. But for the most part everything seems to scale correctly. Guess I did okay on the design then lol.

Lol, I remember when I finally got a 2nd monitor for my laptop... I was like seeing everything in a different perspective. xD I got a 21.5" monitor, but everything in comparison to the 15.6" monitors I was used to for a while just looked absolutely small. Wouldn't trade it for anything though. I will warn you, once you go dual screen, you can't switch back.

Oh yeah dual screen is the eventual goal lol. Two (or three...?) screens will really enhance my iRacing career.

But I need a new desk first. And probably my own place.

I've got a 24" (ish) monitor I used to use as a second screen for my MacBook Pro, but then that got buried under a pile of stuff, so with a bluetooth keyboard and mouse the monitor became basically a desktop computer. Now I'm getting the new 15" MacBook Pro to replace the really old one, so I'll keep it free of clutter and have a proper dual-screen...

Just upgraded from a 13" MacBook Pro (at 800x1280 or some dumb resolution like that) to a 15.6" Aser Aspire F5 with full HD, and ghe clarity/spacing of everything was definatley a shock. Loving being able to actually enjoy textures and having decluttered UI's tho.

So, I'm headed to California in October for a convention, although whether I just stay for the convention, or visit relatives is still yet to be determined. In all, I shall be flying again, finally. Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

That's cool! enjoy the trip Smile

I finally quit my horrible job... next friday can't come soon enough. Don't ever work for a freight company, guys. Trust me. Specifically LTL freight. FTL might be different but I wouldn't know.

Hmm... Faster than Light? Sounds like a good bet for a freight company name... xD

Lol no, LTL = Less than Truckload. Basically a bunch of freight all going to different destinations, but on 1 trailer. FTL = Full truck load, where all freight on the trailer (or whatever mode of transport is being used) is going to the same destination. My company did LTL.

FTL is simpler, LTL is hectic and complicated. For example with FTL you will almost always have 1 Bill of Lading (BOL) for the trailer, describing the freight and origin/destination. With LTL, you can have 15, 20, 30+ BOL's for one trailer.
