Forum Maintenance

Sometime within the next few days I will probably be taking the forum down for maintenance so I can update the software, a few plugins and potentially the themes as well. It shouldn't be for more than a couple hours. Just wanted to give a head up a few days in advance so you're not confused if the forums go down suddenly.

Alright still some minor issues with the theme particularly on mobile, but most of it should be working now. Let me know if you run into any issues. Still working on getting the post editor to show up when posting a reply or a new thread.

Yeah the old theme was nice but it was outdated and no longer supported. Same with the mobile version. This new theme is responsive so it should work on all devices. Still need to tweak it a bit for mobile though. If I can figure out how.

Also do you guys prefer the “classic” layout with the usernames on the side, like it is now? I was trying to get it back like it was with the usernames on top of each post but it seems like it’s hard coded into this theme for some reason

It's a little too blocky mobile wise. Anyway to condense the posters info?

Edit: Also, can't tell if a forum has a new post or not and can't tell what post are new.

From a mobile point of view, not a big fan.

Yeah the posters info needs to be condensed for mobile. Quick reply needs to be edited a bit. And the new post icons don’t work at all, it doesn’t show on the index page which forums have new posts. Argh...

I'm going to revert to the default mybb theme until I can figure that out because that's just not going to work lol.

Well hell the default theme isn't too bad lol... gives me CA vibes though. Not sure how I feel about that.

I wonder when mybb 2.0 is being released... I don’t want to do this all over again in a few months

New theme is ready I think. I haven't optimized it for mobile yet though. You can switch to it if you want in your user CP --> edit options --> board style: Emerald v1.2

I tried another mobile plugin/theme but it doesn't show which sections have new posts. So it's basically useless.
