Yeah I know the pain...

I once had that at AMS. During a vacation (in April/May) one of the bussiest baggage systems had a malfunction. All the luggage that was in the system was redirected into the hall I was in. So we had the fun task of handling around 80.000 pieces of luggage in 10 hours. That was by far the worst experience I ever had during my working days at Schiphol Cry
