Airbus/Bombardier has a new customer...

Other than the Bombardier C Series being renamed the Airbus A220, JetBlue has announced they're ordering 60 Airbus A220-300's worth approximately $5.4 billion to replace the current fleet of Embraer E190's.

Will the game Admin change C-Series with the new name or He will be adding the A220?

Any way it is a really beautiful aircraft.

That's actually a surprise. It'd be cool to catch a flight one of JetBlue's a220s but I don't know why they didn't order sooner.

Not really.  This is a day the ramp, maintenance, and possibly pilots were looking forward to.  I know for a fact majority of the ramp and maintenance wanted JetBlue to get rid of the E190's.  When the E-190's broke, they stayed broke, parts are more difficult to come by due to limited airlines operating them, which in turn made the reliability and maintenance of the aircraft unacceptable.

Not really.  JetBlue were looking at replacing the E190's due to dependability.  These airplanes pretty much stayed broke when they went on maintenance and took hours to repair due to the parts being difficult to come by because of limited airlines operating them.  Remember, Airbus bought the C Series program and they probably gave JetBlue a deal of a lifetime.  Also, JetBlue selected this aircraft for 2 reasons:

1.  As what was mentioned, the A220 (formerly C Series) was bought by Airbus, so they got a really good deal.
2.  The A220 will be equipped with the P&W1000G engines.  The A320/321neo's JetBlue has on order will be equipped with P&W1000G as well, so they wanted more commonality.  Even though the E190-E2's will have the same engine, I think the 1st generation E190's left a bad taste in their mouth due to reliability and lack of airlines wanting it.

Haha you might like it, but I'm a diehard Boeing fanboy, and i was hoping that JetBlue would continue with the Embraer Family. And in North America, the E-Jet is actually very widespread. Air Canada, Delta, American, United, JetBlue, Alaska (some of them with their regional contracts but you get the point) all operate the E-Jet family. Not quite as popular in Europe, but still a popular aircraft, so while parts may be hard to find, it's not because of limited operator base.

For one more time Boeing came in late. It will take at least a year for Boeing to take control of Embraer's commercial aircraft division (renaming, starting new negotiations and starting production in their production lines) and airlines don't really want to wait. The same is somewhat happening with Boeing's MoM and the A321neo, although many airlines are waiting in that case. Anyways I hope you get what I'm trying to say Tongue .

Also, JetBlue's memorandum of understanding included an order for 60 A220-300s plus 60 options which I guess they will activate some time. They also converted all their A320neo orders to the A321neo which I guess is a win for Airbus since the A321neo is more expensive at list prices.

Well, the A321neo isn’t a very good competitor for the MoM plane since it’s too small in some cases and the range is too short to properly replace the 757 and be an effective MoM plane.
