Used Aircraft Market
#41
That's called scrapping not "deleting" lol. Anyhow, we should add an option for airlines to scrap aircraft (sell them for parts) - they'd maybe make 10% of the aircraft's value or so from that.

CA had something like that... I think it was 20% of the value of the plane or something around there. I don't see anyone using it though unless a.) they bought a small plane that can't fly anywhere in range, or b.) selling to broker isn't an option anymore

It's official y'all:

Well... Brokers don't always buy planes - maybe once a/c maintenance and condition is implemented, brokers will only buy planes above 70-75% condition or something, so airlines either have to maintain planes, or scrap them.

Small update

If you purchase a used aircraft that has an IFE/seat configuration already installed from another airline, that IFE config will now copy over to your airline and be installed on the aircraft already.

Not all aircraft have an IFE config installed, in fact most do not (the generated ones do not). Hopefully at some point I can adjust the used market generation script to add IFE configs and different seat classes to the generated aircraft.

Id say the more modern, say last 5 years would have some sort of IFE as standard, the older aircraft would always e a retrofit.
