PRESS RELEASE
omegair says goodbye to two old friends!
It is with alot of nostalgia that omegair announces the departure of the BAe Avro RJ100 and Douglas DC-8-73 from their fleet. For a long time both times have been the backbone of omegair's success, but changing demands in the market make a change necessary.

Our beloved Avro RJ100s have been fully replaced by brand new Sukhoi SJ100. Not only do they share a very similar name but both are and were pioneers in the regional jet market at their time. The new Sukhoi planes are an international coorperation between Russian, American, French and Italian manufacturers. It is one of the most advanced and economical regional jets on the market, providing great comfort to 98 passengers.

Due to increased costs in maintenance omegair has decided the sale of the last ten DC-8-73 in their fleet. They have already been largely replaced by the modern longhaul-fleet of omegair, namely the Airbus A340-600 and A380-800 aswell as Boeings 787-8.
omegair will also cease intercontinental service from Hartfort for now, but offering more connection flights to the new international hubs in Washington, San Francisco and Portland.
