Afrikan Airlines firms up order for 20 next generation A350-900 ULR and and 20 next generation Boeing 737 Max 9 Series Airplanes
• Airline plans to expand fleet to 500 by 2019; creating countless careers and a significant investment in African Aviation
• Airline promises that any profits earned in 2019 will be invested in new airplanes, service upgrades and customer experience.

Afrikan Airlines, the airline connecting Africa to the world and bringing the world to Africa, is pleased to announce that it has firmed an all-cash order for 20 Next Generation A350-900 Ultra Long-Range Aircraft, and 20 737 Max 9 planes with deliveries to start in early 2019. These new planes will feature amenities designed with the Afrikan guest in mind – from all you can eat WiFi connectivity -gate to gate; mood lighting and aerodynamic seat designs featuring vibrant African colours.
The airline is also proud to announce another industry first, that the entire of flight deck crew compliment on the A350-900 ULR series planes will be female, as part of its commitment to promote diversity, and gender equality.
The airline intends to expand long-haul service to Asia, America and Europe; with increased connectivity from hub airports, including Durban and Cape Town; completing the recently completed delivery of 5 787-10 series airplanes whilst not forgetting the importance of our African heritage through the significant investment in regional connectivity through the 20 plane investment in mid-haul service.
Meanwhile, Afrikan Airlines Technik will continue to support the airlines growth objectives through the complete refurbishment and overhaul of used planes the airline continually acquires to support its increased service. Whilst planes aren’t straight off the factory line production, guests can be assured fantastic interiors, and comfort with every plane in the Afrikan Airlines having been refurbished from top to toe within the last six months by the award winning South African teams.
