Trans American Retires Airbus A330 Aircraft
February 24, 2019
transAmerican has officially removed all of our Airbus A330 family aircraft from our fleet. The aircraft will conduct it's final flight out of Atlanta under the transAmerican name where our aircraft will fly for multiple other airlines such as HiFly, Delta Airlines and KLM. The final transAmerican flight will be conducted on March 3, 2019 departing for Dublin at 10:15 a.m.
President's Drake Palmer Remarks:
"We were never fully satisfied with the Airbus a330. The type we had in our fleet had a very low MTOW, restricting our range and payload. It just never worked for our system, which has caused us to accelerate its retirement from our fleet. The aircraft has been replaced by more fuel-efficient aircraft such as the Airbus A350 and Boeing 787. These new aircraft has also received extremely well ratings from our passengers who has flown on them."
