Airbus A350 Delivery Delays

Overseas Airways System, known to passengers as OASYS, Australia's largest and most luxurious airline, has been informed by aircraft manufacturer Airbus that its deliveries of upcoming A350-900ULR aircraft have been delayed by the manufacturer due to production backlog issues. The delay means that the expansion of OASYS' Sydney to Toronto flight from twice weekly to five times weekly has been delayed to late August. Airbus has stated that the aircraft will be delivered as soon as possible. All OASYS passengers booked on cancelled Toronto flights will receive a free refund or accommodation on another flight or carrier. OASYS apologizes for any inconvenience the aircraft delivery may have caused passengers, and hopes to be flying the five-weekly Toronto service as soon as possible. 

The delayed aircraft, VH-DFD, will likely be delivered on August 21, 2019, after which it will be outfitted with various cabin products and readied for service in Sydney before operating its first flight on August 31. 

OASYS is Australia's largest and most luxurious air carrier, and has recently expanded its ultra-long-haul reach with routes from Sydney to London and Toronto onboard state-of-the-art Airbus A350 Ultra Long Range aircraft. Further ultra-long-haul routes will be announced in the near future as new aircraft are readied for delivery.
