ALYX is is launching a 18 hour flight from Toronto Canada to Sydney Australia. This flight will be ranked among the longest flights currently operated around the globe and will for the first time expand the class offering of ALYX to include first class suites with a total of 6 of them installed on each plane. The planes to be used for this route are 3 Airbus A350-900ULRs acquired through a third party leasing company on a long them base agreement. All planes have been completely remodeled to the ALYX long haul standard interior. This route will serve as the test bed for the long haul offering of ALYX and lessons will be able to be swiftly learned and applied as a result before more long haul operations will commence later this year.

To start more long haul operations ALYX has signed an leasing agreement with Airbus for 10 more Airbus A350-900ULR planes which are the most efficient and longest ranged planes currently on the market. The route offering that will come as a result of this is still to be announced.

Looks like I'm getting some competition on YYZ-SYD! Interested to see how this goes
