ALYX is pleased to announce the agreement between ALYX and Boeing to lease 10 787-8 Dreamliners with deliveries to be started in the first half of October this year. This lease agreement marks ALYX first steps into business with Boeing. This is a step which marks the serious nature of ALYX as it is quickly proving to be a popular carrier for Toronto passengers as they travel domestically to the USA and currently also to Australia. With these Dreamliners ALYX aims to open up new markets with these slightly smaller, but long ranged and highly efficient planes meaning they are ideal for those routes that see a slightly lower but still desirable demand.
Along with the leasing contract for the Dreamliners ALYX is in talks with Boeing about the upcoming 777X program which ALYX believes holds it's future in the high demand demand routes. With more and more key airports being slot restricted larger planes are often the only means to supply the demand on those routes.
