FY5539 Incident report 06/04/2017
At 14:32 one of our E-195 aircraft G-UK13 encountered a technical fault on route from Geneva to Manchester. This lead to the crew on board to declaring an emergency. Full details of the technical fault have yet to be released, however we know a cockpit warning light indicated that there was a fault with the landing gear on the aircraft which lead to concern for the safety of our passengers and crew on board. While investigations in the Cockpit took place, the flight was diverted to London Gatwick, where emergency services attended in the event that the landing was not routine. The Runway at London Gatwick was closed for around 35 minutes while safety checks were made. This had a knock-on effect to all of our flights leaving Gatwick causing delays of up to 1 hour across our network. In addition Flight FY5340 due to be operated by G-UK13 from Manchester to Dublin was cancelled. All passengers and crew are safe, our No1 priority. The aircraft has now been assessed and is due to return to regular service tomorrow morning.

UPDATE: 15:15 An electrical fault has been identified on board G-UK13 operating flight FY5339 this afternoon. Flight has been diverted to London Gatwick where the aircraft will be greeted by emergency services.
UPDATE: 16:13 G-UK13 landed safelyat Gatwick. Engineers are working to establish the root cause of the fault. FY5340 from Manchester to Dublin has been Cancelled as a result of this. All flights from Gatwick are subject to delay due to the temporary runway closure.
