Deleting a route has no effect on the scheduled flights, it just deletes the route configuration. If an aircraft still has scheduled flights to run, you cannot assign a new route to that aircraft until all scheduled flights end. Or, at least that's how it's supposed to work. Who knows how it actually works lmao
