A sad day for Monarch Airlines

Same thing happened last year, but this time the owner didn't want to spend another $165 million on Monarch. Hope the rumors that TUI wants to take it over are true. They want the Boeing 737 MAX as Monarch got an even sweeter deal from Boeing.

Ohh ehh they are currenty leasing 10  A320's from Qatar, 2 A310 + 2 A330's from Air Transat, and several more planes from Wamos, Hi Fly and Titan if I'm correct. I found a list on flightradar.  36 planes have been leased:

It's another sad day for European aviation for sure. At least the pilots and cabin crew will be able to find a new place soon. Easyjet, Aer Lingus and others like BA already have made offers to pilots and cabin crew.

Most if not all the B737Max are owned by Aercap, so will see them in either Dublin or Shannon over the coming days.....
