It does, but not to the extent it should.
When you lease an aircraft the lease payments are added to your ledger 1 week in advance. Those upcoming payments count against your airline as liabilities in your debt/asset ratio. However there is only 1 weeks worth of payments stored, even though the lease agreement could be for up to 52 weeks.
