I think the game is very easy to play and we should make it a bit more difficult. For example, large aircraft should not be leased to airlines that have just started operations. I mean the size and cost of leased aircraft should be proportional to the age of the airline's founding.

In addition, very old aircraft such as the DC-8-73 produce a lot of money and it is a junk plane.

Maybe for the purposes of the game we should double or triple the fuel consumption of very old planes and so on.

Thanks.

Just curious, what would consider a "large" aircraft for a new airline? I agree that a brand new airline has no business to lease 5 brand new 777-300ER, but I know of airlines that just started with new aircraft leases of 767, 737 A330 or A320.

Leasing large used aircraft shouldn't be a factor as long as they can pay for it. There are startup airlines with used 747 and 767 and similar "large" aircraft. As they grew, they replaced them with new models or even larger planes.

I don't think the old planes just should have arbitrarily increased fuel burn, since they align with real world values, but more costs associated with old aircraft factored in (mainly maintenance/upkeep).
