airBaltic orders Boeing 787-9
Farnborough. The Latvian airline airBaltic and Boeing Commercial Airplanes announced that the parties have executed an agreement for the lease 5 new Boeing 787-9 aircraft. This order forms the backbone of airBaltic’s new business plan InterContinental 2019 (IC2019) that expands the airline’s business plan Europe 2018 (E2018), and lays the groundwork for future expansion. E2018 laid plans for the lease of 8 Airbus 220-300 and 2 ATR 72-500 aircraft. The former has been completed, the later are yet to be delivered. The 10 aircraft were to operate to a total of 30 destinations, 21 of which have already been started. IC2019 would help expand the airline's operations outside Europe, offering our passengers non-stop flights to places they love.

Note: I have been travelling and attending workshops, and was not able to complete my Farnborough International Airshow RP. I would do the same in the next 4 days.
