Air Pichu Group agrees to purchase of 12 Embrarer E190 aircrafts
Air Pichu is pleased to announce the signing of an agreement for the purchase of 12 Embrarer E190 aircrafts, with an option to purchase another 30 more of this type of aircrafts.
The Embrarer E190 aircrafts was chosen as the aircraft that we plan to operate in our short haul and domestic flights, after long periods of consideration in which we considered various aircrafts such as the Sukhoi SSJ100, the A220-100, and the Q400 NextGen. However, with consideration of the various factors, such as aircraft maintenance fees, fuel efficiency, and capacity, we have decided to go with Embrarer and their E190 aircrafts.
The E190 aircraft will be fully equipped with IFE and WiFi, and will have a seating configuration of 81 Y, 10 Y+, and 6 J. 4 of these aircrafts will go to Pichu America, while 8 of them will go to Air Pichu. With the deliveries starting on the 28th September, passengers can expect these planes to be in full operation by the 1st of October.
With regards to the routes they will be operating on, Air Pichu and Pichu America will be launching their routes separately at another time. For now, however, both Air Pichu and Pichu America have confirmed that they will be launching new destinations, in the next route launch, with Air Pichu promising flights to Chengdu, while Pichu America confirmed that Boston and Philadelphia will be destinations that will be coming soon.
