PRESS RELEASE
Kingston, Jamaica - September 23, 2018. Air Caribbean, the national airline of the Caribbean will return our last Boeing 767 to its lessor today. The Boeing 767 has served us tremendously well for the timespan it's been a part of our fleet. The Boeing 767-300ER aircraft has allowed us to enter into the untapped market from the Caribbean to Europe and South America.
The last Boeing 767-300ER will be landing today at Kingston from London, where it will do its final landing under the Air Caribbean "Caribbean Heart" callsign, flown by Caribbean pilots. We will be issuing limited memorabilia to all passengers on this flight and aswell having a short goodbye ceremony at our headquarters in Kingston, Jamaica.
The Boeing 767-300ER will be fully replaced by the new, state of the art Boeing 787 family. We have placed, and received orders for both the Boeing 787-8 and 787-9 type. We will be able to improve our profit margins with this aircraft and also gaining the ability to travel further distances in a more comfortable manner. As such, we will be doing a charter to demonstrate the extreme length this new aircraft can fly. We will be travelling from Kingston to Dubai non-stop.
The Boeing 787 family aircraft will be based out of our 3 Caribbean hubs: Kingston, Port of Spain and Montego Bay.
