Revamped Routes System

I have the same problem. National some international routes didn't take off and some are duplicated with low load factors. Still a problem.

A few issues:

1) For some reason when it schedules flights, for some routes (for example the LGW-JNB route ryan97 had issues with) it will only schedule the return trip initially. But then if I run the script again it will schedule the first flight. Why it won't schedule both at the same time... I still don't know. And it doesn't do this with every route either, only some have this issue.

2) Even though the game IS scheduling those flights (the first leg), they don't appear in the scheduled flights portion of the active flights page. Even though they're in the database. That would explain why they don't show up on scheduled flights, but show up later in flight history.

I'll work on fixing these... the game will probably stay in maintenance mode until I get the issues fixed.

Alright lets try this again...

1) I reset all gate statuses to "available". As planes fly this will correct itself.
2) All routes had to be deleted again as I changed some database structures... sorry.
3) All aircraft statuses changed to "on-ground"
4) "preparing for route" status has once again been removed.
5) Routes will still schedule instantly upon activation
6) Routes will once again schedule for tomorrow, you don't have to wait for midnight anymore

Lets test this out and see if we run into any issues. Don't go crazy creating 100s of routes yet in case I have to delete them again. But be sure to test long range routes, domestic routes, etc.

Okay so i Have just tried this on the LGW-JNB-LGW route again and all seems to have scheduled correctly - only issue is a 20% load factor however i am putting that down to the over scheduling that happened previously.

Yes, I’ll most likely clear the flight history to alleviate that issue. But as long as everything got scheduled correctly... we’re good.

Pardon the fact I don't know how to use my laptop and all public high school has taught me is "google. use. google. platform. always." so basically I'm screwed in the real world, but N001 seems to be okay but 002 puzzles me. It right now is in PDX, where the route starts, and it shows it in Boston tomorrow morning, like it's supposed to be, but the DEN-PDX route is there this evening? And it gets the plane to DEN, but not back to PDX like its supposed to, and added that random last BOS-MIA route that should never land at 10:36?

Screenshot: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BOYy...sp=sharing

EDIT: that BOS-MIA route is out of place... for some reason it scheduled itself a day later but everything else the same day?

No, it's not scheduling correctly. Flights are scheduled on UTC time. well halfway through the route, it goes into a new day (crosses over midnight UTC). But it's not handling that switchover correctly, it should be Jan 8 that the next flight departs but it just goes back to Jan 7.

I'll have to fix that.

But no multiples yet, right?! lol
