Wow, very detailed backstory. I particularly like the boardroom part. Also, must be a headache to handle all those refund caused by the delayed launch. Those lifetime membership for 500RMB - that's a steal, please get me like a 100 of those, I will give them out to family and friends as gifts.

BTW, the phoenix and the dragon are often associated with each other in Chinese mythology. Perhaps our airlines (Phoenix Airlines and Royal Dragon) could both rule the skies of China.

Oh everything has a backstory than will come down to something in the end. For instance it is 500 RMB for now but would later increase for various reasons. I prefer rping that way, to set a context down before going on to talk about the world and everything.
For the refund I just did it because I thought a reset was forthcoming, but even though it seems that I am unlikely to start the airline soon enough so I am just going to rp the story and let the airline in-game catch up later.

As for a cooperation, why not? Maybe it can come up later in the game. Right now I am thinking I should do a completely isolated storyline (which may not make sense unless there is a huge rping community), if not maybe I would do a storyline linked to real-life stuff (such as codeshares with IRL airlines like Hainan Airline) and if the latter is the case, it can't be random and something must call for it then so just wait Wink

I can see you are the expert at role playing, the backstory gives every other action a purpose, and the stories are also fun to read. I wish I could have the experience, time and the writing skills to come up with something similar.

Great, looking forward to possibility to cooperate. Do make sure you are comfortable with it though.

Changes in Schedule for 5th/6th February

2nd January 2019

Due to manpower shortage caused by Chinese New Year, as well as requests by the CAAC, we would have flight schedule changes for selected flights on the 5th and the 6th of February 2019. The changes are as follows:

5th February 2019
1. PF1201 and PF1202 between Beijing and Shanghai will have flight timings changed as follows:
PF1201 PVG 0700 PEK 0905 (25 mins delay)
PF1202 PEK 0945 PVG 1150 (25 mins delay)
2. PF105 will depart Shanghai Pudong at 1920 instead of 1855, and therefore will arrive in Singapore at 0030 instead of 0005 the next day.
3. PF1006 will depart Beijing Capital at 2145 instead of 2120, and the arrival time into Guangzhou Baiyun will be changed to 0040 the next day.

6th February 2019
1. Due to the late departure arrival of the inbound flight PF105, PF106 from Singapore to Shanghai will depart at 0110 and arrive in Shanghai Pudong at 0620 instead of the original 0555.
2. PF1201 and PF1202 between Beijing and Shanghai will have the timings changed as follows:
PF1201 PVG 0715 PEK 0920 (40 mins delay)
PF1202 PEK 1000 PVG 1205 (40 mins delay)

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the changes in flight times. Affected passengers will be informed via email and can contact us for further details.
On this note, we would like to announce that passengers flying with us on CNY Eve would be able to watch or listen to the live telecast for CCTV's Chinese New Year Eve Countdown and Celebrations on our In-Flight Entertainment!  Thank you and we hope to see you on our flights soon!

Dear Phoenix Airlines,

Me and my family are planning to travel on flight PF105 from Shanghai to Singapore on the 5th. It's great that you are offering to telecast the CCTV's Chinese New Year Eve Countdown. We always look forward to the show every year and are eager to see who will be on it this year. However, I am writing to inquire do you offer special menu item for that day. As you know the dinner at Chinese new year's eve is an important one and we are hoping to having a great meal to celebrate with my family. Looking forward to your announcement.

The article below was taken from a newspaper in China, translated into English:

Expansion Plans rejected by CAAC

Shanghai - Recent reports have indicated that talks between Phoenix Airlines and the Chinese authorities have stalled over disagreements with the private airline's expansion plans.
According to insider sources, Phoenix Airlines have submitted a request for over 30 prime time slots at Beijing Capital International Airport, as well as another 20 slots at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, among other slot requests at domestic airports. These were meant to be for use in launching several flights which could break the current oligopoly held by Air China, China Southern, and China Eastern Airlines for some domestic and international flights. However, the rate of expansion as promised by the airline is at a rate which is alarming to the Chinese authorities, as they have never seen such an aggressive expansion plan in recent years. An official even highlighted that the rate of expansion is larger than China Southern's Daxing plans (referring to the plans highlighting the amount of routes China Southern aims to operate once they move to Beijing Daxing in late 2019). "Things like flying from Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou to Quanzhou, Hunan, Taipei, Qionghai, Fuzhou, Zhuhai, Chengdu, Wuhan are routes which are generally dominant by local state-owned airlines are now being dominated by a private airline? Its really difficult."
Neither Phoenix Airlines nor the CAAC could be reached for comment as of press time.

Adjustments to flight timings/flight numbers

Shanghai - Phoenix Airlines has changed the flight timings of selected flights slightly, owing to changes in departure and arrival time slots. Furthermore, as part of our rescheduling process, there will be new flight numbers for flights on selected routes, highlighted in Green. The following will take effect from the 3rd May 2019. All passengers are to check their emails for any notice of flight timing updates, as we are reallocating flight times to allow for new flights to depart at the other time slots. Future flight schedule now available!

Though there was no official update about it, many members of their Phoenix Club were informed about the full future flight schedule found on their website. This was with the additional benefit of Phoenix Club members being able to reserve seats on "Pending" flights (flights that are upcoming in the future, waiting for approval), instead of just booking "Upcoming" flights.
