Should be gear, not gears - my mistake. On a plane they aren't wheels

Let's called them wheels for people who aren't in aviation world
idk but do you guys say tarmac?
01-20-2019, 09:03 PM
Tarmac doesn't exist in an airport. There's the apron, there're taxiways, and there're runways. That's it lol. Unless you count the grass. That's grass though, not tarmac.

One of my aviation teachers say tarmac all the time

But where did the tarmac came from?
Terminal Termnal Termal Tarmal Tarmac?
01-20-2019, 09:19 PM
Lol. In the UK or something I think they refer to asphalt as tarmac (the material), and so sometimes people call areas paved with asphalt that aren't roads tarmac. They're wrong though. There isn't anywhere in an airport that's called a tarmac. It's like #1 on the lists of things journalists get wrong about aviation.

Journalists are wrong everytime about aviation
Lol I am a journalist
You saying I'm wrong? Don't worryJournalists at places like CBC, CNN, etc., usually do get a ton of stuff wrong about aviation.
