So just to give another update, most of the things from the post above are either complete or partially complete.
1. Mostly complete. Still need to add timezones for a few airports, and address a few issues such as airports with no IATA code or runway lengths of 0.
2. Mostly complete. DST functionality is there, I just need to finish updating the airport database to add DST observance for each airport and finish updating the database with DST start/end times for each country.
3. Complete. Obviously the formula is not final, but changing the formula is the easy part.
4. Mostly complete. Still need to do the live flight detail page, and the ability to assign custom flight numbers.
5. About halfway complete. Some financial transactions are fully functional but others I still need to implement. Also need to create a financial report/ledger of some sorts.
6. Complete.
7. Mostly complete. Still need to add the ability to extend leases.
8. Mostly complete. Page displays airport information but I want to add more to it, like an incoming/outgoing flight board. Maybe some other stuff.
9. Mostly complete. You can filter by country but you can't sort anything. Not sure if the sort functionality is necessary though. Maybe something that can wait for later.
I'm pretty satisfied with the progress, in a month I've addressed most of the things I had set out to address. As it stands right now the game is somewhat playable. I just need to polish off a few more things and we should be good to go for public beta.
