What's the case competition about? I loved them freshman and sophomore year but not so crazy about them anymore lol it gets old quick

Yeah I'm not so crazy about them anymore either.
It's basically about forming a sourcing strategy for steel for Halliburton. Gave us an excel sheet with 15,000 lines of spend data and we have to go through and analyze how they can save money by supplier rationalization and utilizing leveraged spend, stuff like that. Logistics is a big part of it too because steel is heavy and transporting it is expensive.
The nerve racking part is going to be presenting it to senior executives at the Halliburton corporate headquarters lol.

You can usually get a lot of money out of this though if you do well!

I have to say that sounds really intense but also like an incredible opportunity unk! And Halliburton sure is utilizing a lot of 'free' consulting power with this student competition haha!
