Routes System is Live
#11
I'm still not exactly sure why it's happening. I was just able to schedule LGW-MAN for 14:25 departure BST and it worked just fine. So why wouldn't it work a few hours ago? argh.

You'll know if it works correctly because the "Fly Route" button will go away and be replaced by green text that says "In-Progress".

Okay well I'll give it another shot
Update: well it worked that time so who knows why it wouldn't work earlier ?

It's frustrating because I can only re-create the issue during certain times of the day... I'll have to wait until tonight and see if I can get it to happen again. When you make a route, you only tell the system what TIME you want the route to run. Not what day. So when that's translated into a UTC timestamp it just appends the current date to whatever time you have set. So then I have to perform several checks and compare the time of the route to the current actual time at that location and determine "Will this take off today or tomorrow?" Somewhere in that code it's messing up I assume.

As per the update posted in-game, I believe I've resolved this issue. Please test it out and let me know if you run into any issues.

I had to perform a game reset to re-sync everything, some of the data such as aircraft locations and gate usage got un-synced. When that happens it's extremely difficult to fix, especially on a large scale.

I've done six so far. The domestic ones are so far so good and should take off in the morning and fly all day. Now, I also did two international flights STL-OSL-MCO-STL and STL-MCO-OSL-STL. Those it's informing me that leg three is scheduled before leg two turnaround time is finished. I'm assuming this is due to the massive time jump and international date line. Can you confirm? I'm curious to see what happens. Assuming it will get hung up and I'll have to force it for the final leg.

I'm trying to program the route:

MDE-BAQ-MDE-ADZ-MDE-CLO-MDE-BGA-MDE-LET

Local Departure: 05:00 and the end time is Local Arrival: 22:02
Ready at: 22:42

This is 17:42 hours but the system shows a total route Length of: 11:43 hours.

That shouldn't be the case... I'll have to check on it. What might be happening is there could be a rounding issue with the times, and maybe leg 3 is departing a few seconds before leg 2 is ready. I've created a debugging page, where you can check what date/time the game is calculating for each flight. I've linked to it on the main routes page. Can you try checking those international routes and copy/pasting the info from the debug page here for me?

Edit - Yes I believe it's an issue with the times just being so close together. I reproduced this issue with one of my routes, but it wasn't even an international flight, just a domestic one. Ready at time was 4/21 at 15:37, departure time of the next flight was 4/21 at 15:37, but it displayed the "Leg 4 departure is scheduled before leg 3 turnaround time is finished" error. I re-made the route, and this time added an extra minute between each flight, and everything worked perfectly. So what I think I'll have to do is on the route creation page, force an extra minute between each leg.

The route length only accounts for flight time. Not turnaround time or extra time between each flight.

SUCCESS.
Departure time of leg 3 is before the ready at time of leg 2.
MCO — STL
04-22, 17:14 UTC Departure Time
--------- 02:09 Flight Time
04-22, 19:24 UTC Arrival Time

04-22, 20:24 UTC Ready At Time
22:12 Cumulative Flight+Turnaround Time
720 Seconds Extra Time
SUCCESS.

I see the issue now which is really weird considering I had the departure time much later then the ready time. I'll do another route and keep you updated.

I love the debug page by the way. Please keep it until you get the ready times automated.

My sister just noticed this and told me that the first route she created and then clicked on Fly Route, only two flights were added to Active Flights page out of around 14. But the next route had all the 10 flights being displayed on the page.
