Old aircraft
#1
Hello.

I have been working with Russian planes because they are very cheap and I think this is an advantage because in the game they are as good as the western planes and besides, no matter how old an airplane be it gains the same money as a new airplane . I believe the demand should be punished in the old planes because nobody wants to fly on them or at least they should not produce as much as the aircraft with higher quality. Not only I say this for Russian aircraft but for all old planes in general. If it doesn't happen I recomend them to everyone.

(Sorry Carde)

Thanks.

Maybe it should be possible to refurbish the cabin interiors (for a fee) as part of the maintenance programme?

Matching the price with their Western counterparts?

Well the issue I have with dropping demand for older aircraft is most passengers don't actually know what they're flying on. Just because an aircraft is old doesn't necessarily mean it will deter people from flying on it. I mean look at Delta, they thrive on operating old aircraft.

I agree that there is an imbalance currently with the Russian aircraft being so much cheaper, but I'm not sure if dropping demand for them is the answer.

I think let's be fair we can balance them in the maintenance department quite well once those costs start adding in Smile I expect a full VC10 fleet will cost a LOT more to keep flying than a 737 fleet Wink

What about incidents from time to time to force the plane to waste time on the ground?
