Think I said this before, but I needed a 3.0 GPA to get accepted into my college program, and I had a 3.01. I managed to - literally - accomplish my goal while simultaneously doing the least amount of work possible.

But that was just to get in, I graduated with a 3.56 so I did pick it up a little bit lol

So I was looking at flights to get me to Bristol in August for the Nascar race, and American Airlines is price gouging the HELL outta some routes I swear... CLT-TRI (a 1 hr flight) is $567 PER PERSON... wtf.

$567?! On what kind of plane?! Have you tried other sites, because not all flight sites charge the same, surprisingly. :/

On a dash 8 lol. That was on AA's website, but I checked a lot of the other booking sites as well and they all showed the same price. Only AA and Delta fly the route, and delta is $613 or something so that wasn't an option. Total price for IAH-CLT-TRI was like $650. Per person. So IAH-CLT is $100 but then CLT-TRI is $567?? Okay american.

Thinking of going to another race instead, prices are much more reasonable... $338 RT per person IAH-CLT-FLO with American. Much better than $650. Gonna suck driving all the way to IAH but I don't really have an option. Only other thing to do would be SWA from HOU to Charleston, but then we gotta drive 2 hours to our hotel... and it's more expensive.

That's another thing, all the freaking hotels (well the decent ones anyway) are already booked up in Florence so our next best option is to stay in Myrtle beach and just drive to the track (1hr 20m give or take). Which is fine I guess. This dang race isn't until September and stuff's already selling out. Guess 4 months early is still a few months too late.

Good lord. I'm laughing my arse off reading that now, because I was originally gonna type "On what kind of plane?! A Q400?!" But I couldn't remember if any AA affiliate flew the Q400. xD

Still $567 for a round trip? That's absurd. I really don't get airline pricing anymore tbh. My parents are taking a direct flight from OMA-ORD in June, and they're dishing out nearly $350/person. Me, I'm flying round trip from OMA to LAX, with one stop in between, for under $300 in October... :/

Yeah, idk either. Depends on time of day too, you can save a few hundred if you take the 5am departure I found out lol.

But I found a package on Southwest I could get, flight/hotel/rental car combo for $572 total per person so I'll probably do that. I won't get to ride a Q400 anymore, but oh well, guess it's worth it to save a ton of money.
